Who operates Avopet
Avopet is operated by individual developer He Zhu. For privacy or deletion questions, email jzhe614@gmail.com.
What Avopet collects
Account identifiers from Sign in with Apple; pet profiles and care records you create; files you choose to upload; reminder and device-delivery information; App Store transaction status; and limited product events only after consent. Avopet does not receive your Apple Account password.
Where United States data goes
United States account, pet-care, and file data uses Avopet’s separate United States service on Google Cloud in the United States and does not fall back to the China service. When you choose an AI feature, Avopet sends the minimum text needed for that request from its United States backend to OpenAI’s standard API. OpenAI may process that AI request outside the United States.
AI and pet health information
OpenAI does not use API data to train its models unless the API customer opts in. Avopet sets store=false so OpenAI does not keep response application state for these requests, although OpenAI may retain limited abuse-monitoring logs under its API data policy. Avopet does not write full prompts or full model responses to its own operational logs. AI is not a veterinarian, does not diagnose, and must not be used instead of emergency care.
Product analytics
If you opt in, Avopet records a small allowlisted set of product events. Pet names, notes, diagnoses, photos, complete AI prompts, and complete AI responses are excluded.
Sharing and service providers
Avopet uses service providers to operate authentication, hosting, storage, notifications, App Store purchases, and optional AI features. Avopet does not sell personal data or use pet-care content for targeted advertising.
Retention and deletion
You may delete your Avopet account in the app. Account deletion removes United States account and product data through a controlled cleanup process. Deleting Avopet does not cancel an App Store subscription; manage it separately in Apple subscription settings. Some security, transaction, or deletion records may be retained when legally necessary.
Your choices
You can change interface language, notification settings, measurement preferences, and optional product analytics. You can request account deletion in the app.
